On the sunny afternoon of July 12th, 2025, Welltrans Logistics held its first-ever Employee Badminton Friendship Tournament, bringing together colleagues from various departments to enjoy an exciting, team-oriented competition outside the workplace.
The tournament featured six spirited teams, each comprising five players. The event was divided into three competitive stages, carefully designed to balance fun, fairness, and teamwork:
๐ฏ Tournament Structure & Rules
- Dress Code: All participants were required to wear proper sportswear and sneakers to ensure safety and mobility.
- Stage One โ Group Round-Robin Matches
Teams were divided into groups for a round-robin series. The top two teams from each group advanced based on match wins. In the event of tied victories, the outcome was determined by head-to-head results or net win rounds. - Stage Two โ Knockout Round (Re-draw)
Qualified teams entered a new group draw for elimination rounds. Each match followed a best-of-three format, with each game played to 15 points. - Stage Three โ Final Showdown
The remaining teams competed for the championship, runner-up, third, and fourth places. This stage was played to a total of 75 points, spread across five 15-point games, with final rankings determined by net points scored. - Team Protocols: Each team submitted a player lineup 10 minutes before their match. No mid-game substitutions or lineup changes were permitted, ensuring fairness and strategic consistency.
